OYE-EZE . CHIDIEBERE with showbiz name Chi-Don is a Nigerian born, who grew up in the city of Tema, Ghana is bringing a new kind of music which will be the biggest worldwide into the music industry which he calls GODSPOP.  This genre of music preaches truth of God not of religion.

"In five years this brand will be household worldwide" he added.

We at Godspop believe this is the breath of fresh air that has long been waited for.

Noted for his constant statement "It doesn't matter your religion, it doesn't matter where you come from, it dosen't matter  the church u attend.. all that matters is that we are all one people and we worship God the most high...", his new single featuring Abidede Walker - Wonderful God (Prod. By Mix Masta Garzy) is expected to start the journey of the new movement; Godspop.

MY MUSIC CAREER STARTED WITH                                      CAMPYARD (R2BEES) JAYREHMI OF (REKXBOIZ)

These lads met in Tema Secondary School in 1998. As if by destiny it was like ‘great men’ in the making put in one class. Based on the inspiration drawn from the Wu Tang Clan, the Camp Yard band was born. Abdul Rasheed Mugeez (Now Mugeez) and Issah Ibrahim (of blessed memory ) and Faisal Hakeem (Paedae) one day in Temasco 1998 suggested the group name ‘Camp Yard’ to then Coolio (now JAYREHMI). Camp Yard being the reason that it was more than a band just like Wu Tang. There was a huge following in the hood at Community 1 site 15, Tema. The early architects of the group Camp Yard (Now R2Bees), from the Visual Arts Class as far as music was concerned were Issah Ibrahim (of blessed memory), Abdul Rasheed Mugis (Mugeez), Jeremiah Obuobi (JAYREHMI, then Coolio) and from General Art Faisal Hakeem ( Pae Dae). During form two, in 1999, the entertainment prefect for Tema Secondary School was Michael Ayenu (Now DJ Mensah) and thus made stage performances for Camp Yard and the whole crew an easy stake.

The main Architect of Camp Yard Issah Ibrahim, unfortunately died in 1999. Issah came to campus sick, and came to Coolio’s (JAYREHMI’s ) home for help. JAYREHMI recollects, “Issah was vomitting amid restlessness, so he (JAYREHMI) had to take him (Issah) home at Madina.” JAYREHMI met Adnar, Issah’s cousin and later left for Tema. “That was the last time I saw Issah”, he recollects.  Issah died of sickle cell after a week as Ken Jarvis (a class mate) broke the news to the class. The brain child was gone, everything slowed down for a minute. JAYREHMI later formed his own group called Broken Silence. Fast forward 2002, JAYREHMI gets into KNUST, meets John Foley (Now Jay Foley) and begins to record some few songs, as John was a sound engineer back then. On campus, JAYREHMI had the opportunity to meet Agya Koo Nimo, the great Highlife legend, because Agya Koo Nimo’s daughter was in the same product design class as JAYREHMI, and he recalls several visits to the legend, meeting the likes of Okyeame Kwame.

Speaking to Ghlalamusic JAYREHMI admited that he slowed down with music because of school, but was still communicating with Mugeez. After graduating from university 2006, JAYREHMI used his product design knowledge to help push the NOW R2Bees brand and even redesigned the R2Bees logo in 2011. JAYREHMI then Creative Director for OBJClothing was offered the opportunity to print the Official R2Bees t-shirts, under OBJClothing & Accessories. Later in 2009, JAYREHMI as CEO of OBJClothing & Accessories, got featured with his old friends R2BEES, on ZAIN MTV MUSIC AWARDS ROAD TO MAMAS, which was meant to document everything about R2BEES. During all these visits in the hood, Mugeez kept on motivating JAYREHMI to do a comeback in the game. The Comeback decision was slow as JAY had to manage a lot of companies he was trying to start up, including creating the OBJ SARK 1 Brand which resulted in a lawsuit.

In 2010 JAYREHMI got signed on to the REKX Records label and since then has been working as an artiste and brands manager. Though ready to begin his Masters in MFA (Master of Fine Art), JAYREHMI, a member of REKXBOIZ has heeded to his burning desire for music. The Hip Hop and Afro Music Genre act is set to release one of his epic tunes with one of Ghana’s Shining Dancehall artistes MASAANY. This song is set to drop on September 1st, 2017. The title of the song is ‘LIGHTER’ and its produced by @REKX_BEATZ.

We Never Signed A Contract With Harbour City

Recordz - Gallaxy Breaks Silenece On Split

Gallaxy

Reported days back that Ghanaian music group Gallaxy has parted ways with Tema-based record label; Harbor City Records.

First News Network (FNN) can confidently confirm that Gallaxy is no more with Harbor City Records. Speaking with Pamela Boateng on the midday news bulletin on Thursday, David Gallaxy, a member of the duo revealed that both parties had a mutual agreement to part ways.

‘Yes we have parted ways. I also woke up to the news running on social media. We had a mutual agreement days ago with our management which is Harbor City Records and we both decided to go our separate ways because the story is too complicated for us to talk about. As we speak, we are not even supposed to talk about it because we have some things in the pipeline…The thing is, both parties decided go our separate ways,’ he said

Gallaxy
He continued, ‘There was never any signed contract with Harbor City Records. Gallaxy never signed any contract with Harbor City Records. It was just a verbal agreement between the two parties…we didn’t sign anything to prove we had any deal with Harbor City Records.’

When asked about how the group shared money made amongst both parties, David Gallaxy stated that he wouldn’t be too comfortable talking about percentages but all he can say is they had a fair verbal agreement as to what each party was entitled to.
Touching on what their next move is, he said; ‘So far as we are a brand, definitely people will express interest in working with us but we have to sit down as a team to look into potential contracts, and when the time is right, we will release a press statement. So for now, we can say Gallaxy is on its own. We still have our friendship with Harbor City Records but with the business side, there’s no relationship.’
Ghanaian female dancehall artiste Kaakie also recently revealed on social media that she’s parted with her record label of 6years; Xtra Large Music (XLM.) She further disclosed in an interview that due to the ‘breakup’, she’s lost the right to all her songs she recorded under the label. When asked by the news anchor whether the group Gallaxy has lost the right to all their songs recorded under the label, David Gallaxy responded in the negative and said; ‘Our case is different because as I mentioned earlier, we didn’t sign any contract with Harbor City Records. It was just a verbal agreement so I think we have the rights to all our songs because at the end of the day, it’s the artiste who created the music…but the thing is, as an artiste when you are coming up because you are in a hurry for the fame  and the money , you forget and sign on to things that will bind you so this should be a wakeup call for all artistes to read all contracts carefully before appending signatures or else they’ll end up at the losing end.’
Gallaxy is noted for their hit songs like ‘Twea,’ ‘Papa bi,’ ‘Boko Boko,’ ‘Dab,’ and recently, ‘Qualities.’

After watching videos from his yet-to-be-released album, blogger and OAP, Zionfelix quizzed him why he wore sneakers and belts of other brands in his music videos instead of Sark Collections as he used to project in his visuals years back. Obidi in a reply said that the company is designing different brands of Sark collection so he is waiting for the new set of materials.
He added that products from Sark Collections were not ready at the time he was shooting the videos so he had to put on other brands.
